The annual Kiss-A-Pig Contest, a unique fundraising campaign to support the museum is under way! Five enthusiastic professionals from the community have volunteered to support the museum by soliciting votes, in the form of monetary donations, to raise funds for the museum’s educational programming and hands-on exhibits, known as “Campaign Imagination.” The candidate who raises the most money earns the chance to pucker up to Daisy II the Famous Pot Belly Pig on December 6th at 5:00pm at the Imagine Nation Museum. You can place your vote for your desired candidate at the Museum, or at the fundraisers headquarters.

The friendly competition will continue up until the final hour, when one lucky person gets to smooch Daisy II the Famous Pot Belly Pig in the name of the Imagine Nation Museum on Friday December 6th at 5pm.
On December 6th embark on a magical holiday journey as the Imagine Nation Museum is transformed into Dr. Seuss’ Whoville! A wacky and wonderful festival complete with crafts, sing-alongs and special visitors including the Grinch, his dog Max, Cindy-Lou Who and the Mayor of Whoville! Pizza, soda and ice cream will be available for purchase at our old – fashioned soda fountain. Also available: “Who-pudding”. Festival hours are 5-8pm, admission price is $7 per person. The event is free for Museum members & children under one!This event does not grant half price admission to ACM reciprocal members or library pass holders.

Join the Grinch in our Whoville inspired Soda Fountain for a breakfast feast on Saturday morning December 7th from 8:00am-10:30am including Mt. Crumpit pancakes, roast beast sausage and Who-hash! $6/Adult* $4/Children under ten. Reservations for breakfast is encouraged by calling 860-314-1400 by Wednesday December 4th. Limited tickets will be available at the door. Breakfast tickets do not include admission to the museum.

Ring in the New Year celebrating cultures and traditions from around the globe! Join us on Tuesday, December 31st from 10am until 1pm as we create confetti, masks, and noisemakers! Join in the unveiling of a new time zone in our All the Time in the World exhibit. Await a visit from Father Time and dance with DJ Bob, then march in our very own New Year’s parade at 11:30am! Following the parade, gather in Imagine Nation Times Square and count down for the ball drop at 12:00 noon! Admission is $7/person. Imagine Nation Museum Members and children under one are free! Please note: The museum will close for the day at 2p.m.
