*GIRLS* this program is for girls ages 8-13 and their mentors, mothers, or a special friend!

Traditionally women learned homemaking and men learned a trade.
Tonight we will turn tradition around as we showcase the basic tools every girl should know how to use. Take home your very own tool box upon completion.

Programs are held from 6-7:30pm at Imagine Nation Museum in our Soda Fountain. We begin with dinner followed by the program at 6:20pm.

Mission: Encouraging young women to strengthen positive relationships with their mentor, mother or special friend while gaining valuable life skills to empower them and enhance their abilities to succeed in the future.

Please join us on Saturday September 20th from 6pm-11pm as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary! Celebrating A Decade of Imagine Nation will feature three floors of fabulous food, cocktails, a live and silent auction, lots of live entertainment and dancing with the Blue Cherry Band! This signature fundraiser will help to support education, community programs and exhibitions at the museum. The Imagine Nation Museum will be sponsoring the 13th Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest® on Saturday, October 4th at 2:00pm sharp at Roberts Orchards, 125 Hill Street in Bristol.   Children ages 5-15 are invited to enter this zany beauty contest where a team of judges will be looking for the most worn out and smelliest pair of sneakers they can find!  Contestants will take to the runway to show off their famed, foul-looking, and stinky sneakers to our prestigious team of Odorologists. Contestants must be wearing their own sneakers that have been naturally worn out. The winner of this regional contest will receive lots of fame, Odor-Eaters Products®, $200.00, and the Golden Sneaker Award. The winner will also compete in the National Contest to be held at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in New York City. Please register by calling the museum at 860-314-1400.  Registrations will also be accepted at the museum booth at Roberts Orchards the day of the event between 12:00-1:45pm. In the event of inclement weather, the contest will be held on Sunday, October 5th

Construct and create with cardboard. We’ll provide the cardboard and a variety of mechanics, just bring your imagination!

We will be open from 9:30am to 5:00pm for a while day of family fun in celebration of Columbus Day!

Learn about Columbus, boats, water, wind and floating. Eight exciting lessons will take place throughout the day lead by our preschool teachers.


Wed, October 15

Time: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Celebrate with us as we wish the world famous potbellied pig Daisy II Happy Birthday. Come support our kissing candidates, enjoy a craft, games and refreshments.

Learn the artistry and skill of jewelry making as you design and create your very own baubles. Bring your tool box for it contains several tools you’ll need to manipulate wire and beads into wearable, beautiful things.

Fill your senses with the smell, taste and touch of the harvest. Discover what is the same and different inside squash, build a scarecrow, then toast and taste pumpkin seeds.

We are OPEN for your enjoyment on Tuesday November 4th for Election Day again this year!

Come on in and explore our exhibits, indulge in the 1940's Soda Fountain, examine all of our awesome creatures and animals, & more!

We will be open, up, and running on all cylinders for you to come with your family to enjoy celebrations of Veteran's Day!

Explore everything our museum has to offer for a full day of family friendly fun!

We are wall to wall animals during this festival featuring beaks, bills, feathers, fur and scales. Free for members and children under 1 year.

Nothing says tradition like a family recipe. Passed on within the family its preparation and enjoyment brings forth memories of family gatherings. Tonight we’ll make pasta noodles from scratch, just like Great Grandma used to make.

In collaboration with the United Way of West Central CT and community families, we promote the spirit of volunteerism. Create napkin rings complete with a festive napkin for individuals at neighborhood shelters, nursing homes and Bristol Hospital. Participating families enjoy free admission!

Tue, November 25

Time: 9:30 am to 1:30 pm

*Open at 9:30am for open exploration and time to add your thoughts to our Thankful Tree!

*Thanksgiving Luncheon at 11:00am
- INMELC will provide the main course for this special shared meal
- Members are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
