Friday, August 1 : Caribbean Night, 5-8 pm

Featuring island music by Caribbean for Kids! Caribbean crafts and beach games! Caribbean (pineapple) pizza and beverages available in our Soda Fountain!
Enjoy swimming at our nearby Family Center Pool so bring your bathing suit and towel! (additional $5.00 per person or free for members).
This event dedicated to the life of our dear friend and patron Lois Graham.
Reduced admission: only $4.00 per person.
Sponsored by the Lois Graham Fund and the Thomaston Savings Bank.
Please note that our parking lot will be closed during this event. Please use alternative street parking or look for Imagine Nation parking signs at the Family Center (47 Upson St.), the Bristol Board of Education (127 Church St.), or the Bristol Baptist Church (43 School St.)

Tuesday, August 5 : Bring a Banana Night returns!
Planning to visit Brackett Park to enjoy Bristol Parks and Recreation’s concert series? Then swing on over across the street to the Imagine Nation Museum for a great deal on banana splits at our old-fashioned Soda Fountain! We will be featuring $4.00 banana splits. Bring your own banana and it’s only $2.00! Come see Dole’s Bobby Banana! Indoor and outdoor seating available. 7:00-9:00 pm.

Thursday, August 7 : Dog Days of Summer
Beat the summer heat and the dog days of summer! We will have some cool dogs visiting the museum at 11:00 am. Hands on dog crafts, music, and special visitor from the Chippens Hill Veterinary Hospital and Stanley The Library Dog will be here too! Program included with museum admission. Museum Hours: 9:30am-5:00pm.

Friday, August 8 : Baseball Fan Appreciation Day
Wear your favorite baseball team jersey and receive $1.00 off your museum admission. Rocky the mascot from the New Britain Rockcats will be signing autographs from 11:00am-12:30pm. Create some cool take home baseball crafts in our art area. Perform a special baseball broadcast at our ESPN anchor desk. Museum hours: 9:30am-5:00pm.


Wednesday, August 20 : Countdown to Kindergarten
For all children entering Kindergarten this Fall! Your child will meet other children, hear "going to school" stories, ride a real school bus, make fun school crafts, and meet a Kindergarten teacher! Parents will get the opportunity to speak to the Kindergarten teacher and ask questions about your child's first day of school.

Program is FREE but registration is required. This program is held at TWO locations: the Bristol Library Children's Department and the Imagine Nation Museum. Please call 584-7787 ext. 2021 to register and choose the location you prefer. Tickets will be mailed indicating the requested location.


September Events

Friday, September 5 : Touch-a-Truck Festival
Kids young and old will have a blast climbing aboard the many vehicles coming to the Imagine Nation Museum! Some examples of the trucks you'll see are a fire truck, ambulance, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, snow plow and semi. Plus, jump inside our exciting Monster Truck bounce house and join in lots of other fun truck-related activities in the museum! Reduced admission of $4.00 per person, children under one are free. 5:00-8:00pm. Pizza and soda are available for purchase at our old-fashioned Soda Fountain.
