At the Imagine Nation Museum
The Science and Art of Spin
At the Carousel Museum
The Art and History of the Carousel

A fun and educational "Science of Spin" workshop introduces students to concepts of circular motion. Kids will then get to create amazing works of spinning art to take home with them. Plus, they'll be plenty of time to explore the museum's diverse collection of hands-on, interactive exhibits and activity areas. Program is age-adjusted for groups in grades K-5th.

A variety of art-related activities teach children about this spectacular art form. Learn about the origins of the carousel, from its inception as a warring game during medieval times to its evolution into a popular leisure time activity. Hands-on art activities to choose from include:
Carousel create-a-cut-out (age 5+)
Stenciling (ages 7+)
Tin punching (ages 7+)

Special Combined double-header rate of $11.25 per child
