The Imagine Nation Museum offers programs designed for Cub Scouts
(Tiger through Webelo) and Girl Scouts (Brownies through Junior Girl
Scouts). Troops can explore the museum's many interactive hands-on
exhibits and participate in an hour to an hour and a half activity.
This will enable the scouts to complete most or all of the requirements
for one of the following badges:

How I Tell It
(Go See It!)
|
Good communication skills are important for
people of all ages. When people want to communicate with hundreds
or thousands of people at the same time, they may use a television
or radio broadcast. Visit our ESPN "broadcast booth"
and experience what it feels like to be on TV! |
|
Making my Family
Special
|
Every Tiger Cub has special family memories.
Maybe it is a family birthday party or a family vacation.
We will make a scrapbook for you to take home to help you
remember those special times. |
|
Where I Live
|
Developing responsible citizenship is one of
the core values of Cub Scouting because communities are stronger
when the people who live in them know their community and
are good neighbors to each other. Join us as we learn about
maps, directions and landmarks to help us better understand
the community we live in. |

Play Along!
|
Maybe you know someone who plays a musical instrument.
Now you can play one, too! We will make instruments out of
household materials and play them together. |
|
The Show Must
Go On
|
It is fun to pretend you are a different person
or even an animal. Together, we'll make puppets and put on
our very own puppet show in our special Puppet Theater! |
|
Snack Time
|
We all love snacks! Join us as we learn to make
some special treats - and then eat them! |
|
Feed the Birds
|
Birds and other outdoor animals need to eat
food each day just like you do. We will create a bird feeder
for you to take home and hang in your backyard. Then you can
watch the birds enjoy a meal! |

|
You can collect almost anything! We'll look
at lots of ways for you to collect some of your favorite
things. Then you can show your treasures to your friends
and family. |
|
Your
Living World
|
We only have one world, so it is important
that we learn how to take care of it. There are many ways
you can help. This program will include activities related
to recycling, protecting our natural resources, and energy
conservation. |
|
Cooking
& Eating
|
We will discuss the Food Guide Pyramid and
learn about good nutrition. Then we will plan, prepare and
cook a meal together. Setting the table and cleaning up
afterward is important, too! |
|

Learn to send messages, write in code, and
"talk" with your hands. We'll even write to each
other in invisible ink! |
|

Power
|
We'll discuss different types of trucks and
construction equipment. Then we will create our own wheels
and axles, pulleys and levers. |
|
Be

|
Everyone is an artist! You can draw or paint
a portrait of yourself or someone else, or create your own
cartoon. We'll also learn about mixing colors with a color
wheel. |

Art to Wear
|
Art hangs on walls in museums
and in galleries, but that's not all. In this Try-It, you
can develop your own artistic abilities and have fun with
face painting, mask making, papier-mache creation and more! |
|
Puppets, Dolls & Plays
|
Creating toys out of everyday materials is an
old-fashioned art form. Make finger puppets and yarn dolls,
then stage a puppet show in our Puppet Theater! |
|
Make-It Eat-It
|
We eat to provide our bodies with fuel for energy
and good health. Learning to grow, prepare and cook our food
is important, too. We'll learn how to make some of our favorite
foods and even create our own recipe book! |
|
Plants
|
Plants have many uses -food, lumber, medicine,
paper-and they make oxygen that is part of the air we breathe.
We'll meet in our greenhouse as we learn about the different
types of leaves and how seeds grow. |
|
Science in Action
|
The activities for this badge will help you
understand more about science in your life. Go on a scavenger
hunt, make "weird glop," and more. |
|
Space Explorer
|
Learning about the stars and planets can open
up a whole new world. Astronomers and astronauts use telescopes,
satellites, spaceships and other scientific equipment to study
space. You, too, can take a step into space exploration. |

What you wear says a lot about who you are.
If you are interested in fashion design or the history of
clothing, or if you just want to change your fashion look,
this is the badge for you! |
|
Jeweler
|
Make and design your own necklaces, bracelets
or other ornaments using all types of materials. You can also
learn about the symbolism and traditions for jewelry throughout
history. Why is a wedding band worn on the left hand? Find
out with this badge! |
|
Math Whiz
|
Math is used everywhere: to follow a recipe,
build a table, or make change at the grocery store. This badge
has you create your own secret code, go on a math scavenger
hunt and more! Become a math whiz and you can do anything! |
|
Let's Get Cooking
|
Making your own meals can be lots of fun - stirring,
beating, mixing and baking! Learn safe ways to prepare delicious,
healthy meals with these fun activities! |
|
Science Discovery
|
Scientists ask questions and find answers. Put
your own investigative powers to the test as we experiment
with light and reflections, floating objects, optical illusions
and more! |
|
Sky Search
|
The sky is filled with planets, stars, moons,
satellites and more. Instead of just gazing up at the sky,
why not learn about what you're looking at? It all starts
with this badge! |
